Experience the magic of Namibia’s coastline on our full-day Sandwich Harbour & Pelican Point Tour, where desert, ocean, and wildlife come together in one unforgettable adventure. We collect you from your accommodation in Walvis Bay or Swakopmund and travel along the scenic lagoon route toward Hout Bay. Along the way, we stop to admire the thousands of flamingos that gather in the calm waters of the Walvis Bay Lagoon. A visit to the famous Pink Lake at the salt works reveals striking shades of pink and white a unique coastal landscape shaped by salt and sun. From here, we head south into the breathtaking Sandwich Harbour, part of the ancient Namib Desert. This is one of the few places on Earth where massive dunes roll directly into the Atlantic Ocean. Enjoy an exhilarating 4x4 drive across the soft sands, with stops on the dunes for panoramic views and incredible photo opportunities. We then continue to Pelican Point, a remote peninsula guarding the harbour entrance. Here you’ll encounter one of Namibia’s largest Cape fur seal colonies, with thousands of seals resting, playing, and swimming in the surf. The historic Pelican Point Lighthouse, built in 1932, stands as a reminder of the area’s rich maritime history. A perfect blend of adventure, wildlife, and dramatic desert-meets-ocean scenery.
