Coffee Stop in Henties Bay A short break in Henties Bay for coffee and refreshments before turning inland. Scenic Back Road to Spitzkoppe We leave the coastal road behind and travel along a quiet back road into the desert, with wide-open views leading us toward the majestic Spitzkoppe – often called the “Matterhorn of Namibia.” Explore Spitzkoppe Visit the Bushman Rock Paintings, ancient artwork left behind by the San people. Walk to the famous Rock Arch, one of Namibia’s most iconic natural landmarks. Discover the Golden Snake, a striking rock formation that glows under the midday sun. Picnic Lunch at Spitzkoppe Enjoy a picnic among the giant granite boulders, with time to soak up the silence and unique desert beauty. Scenic Return via Front Road We take the main road back toward Swakopmund, with a quick drive through parts of the Moon Landscape for one last taste of Namibia’s otherworldly desert scenery. 17:00 – Drop-Off at Your Accommodation Arrive back in Swakopmund, where you can relax or enjoy a sundowner by the ocean.
